Putin: relations with Saudis will be not put on play without facts

Russian President Vladimir Putin presumes it is too early to strongly condemn Saudi Arabia for the likely involvement of the country in the disappearance and suspected murder of Jamal Khashoggi. Putin said Thursday at a meeting in Sochi that it is better to wait until “more details are known”.

Those who believe that a murder has been committed must come with proof.

According to Putin, nothing is certain in the missing journalist case.

It is a pity, of course, that Khashoggi is missing, but we must first understand what exactly happened. We can not ruin our relationship with Saudi Arabia unless there are hard facts on the table.

Putin believes that the United States also bears part of the responsibility for the fate of Khashoggi – he lived in the US.
