Here’s Porsche’s next electric car is already in Norway

Porsche arrived Friday with a press release saying that they will put the electric Mission E Cross Turismo into production. The car was shown in Geneva in March this year, and is a right-hand, more suv-like car than the brand’s first electric car coming next year.

High ground clearance, full-electric, but still a sports car. We have great expectations for this, “says Morten Scheel, head of Porsche Norway for DN.

Already next year, Porsche’s first electric model comes in the sedan Taycan. This already has a long order list in Norway.

“The orders have passed 2400 cars,” said Scheel.

So there’s a sales record for Porsche in Norway? It will be. We are planning for an increase. Now when Cross Turismo officially comes into production, we are looking for a future where Porsche becomes a more visible brand in the Norwegian car fauna, “said Scheel.

The concept car Mission E Cross Turismo, which was shown in Geneva, has an 800-volt architecture that is geared for quick loading, 600 horsepower system power and a 50-mile range measured with the old NEDC method.

The car is a launcher of Taycan, launched in 2019. Earlier this week, one of the chiefs in Porsche said that Taycan would cost between Cayenne and Panamera.

“I can not say anything about Norwegian pricing, but we have a policy where there are similar prices across Europe. Draws man from VAT and fee matters, says Scheel.

Cayenne starts at 1.1 million in Norway, while Panamera has a starting price of almost $ 1.25 million. Both the cheapest models are chargeable hybrids.

“There appeared some extra reservations that day speculation about the price came,” said Scheel, stressing that there will be a big gap in time between the two models and that Porsche has not yet opened orders for Cross Turismo.

Porsche will invest more than six billion euros in electrical mobility by 2022.
