Starbucks Ex-CEO views presidency
Former CEO of coffee chain Starbucks Howard Schultz is considering participating in the US presidential election in 2020 as an independent candidate. That is what Schultz, whose Starbucks has developed into a global corporation, told the media.
The 65-year-old billionaire has begun preparations to take part in the elections in all fifty states. He is going to make a round trip through the United States in the near future before he makes a final decision. According to Schultz, Americans are tired of the current political system and are looking for a better choice than the Republicans or Democrats. President Donald Trump is unsuitable for the White House, according to Schultz.
Schultz resigned last year as chairman and CEO of Starbucks, where he has worked since 1982. Under his leadership, the chain was expanded from a handful of branches to more than 28,000 worldwide. His assets are estimated at 3.5 billion dollars.
