Ford is about to hire financial director from SnapChat

Ford got innovative idea on how to recycle managers from ailing projects

Ford Motor car group appoints Tim Stone as new financial director. The former financial man of Snap, the company behind the popular app Snapchat, will take over the baton from Bob Shanks later this year.

Stone left Snap in January, after having been in his post for only eight months. He was already another top manager who left the company. Last year, Snap also saw strategy director Imran Khan leave, as did directors for product development and legal affairs, among other things. Stone previously worked for online shopping giant Amazon.

It is quite surprising that Tim Stone is switching from online sales to messaging to automotive industry.
