WhatsApp to get night mode
Revolutionary, never seen before, 'technology' comes to the WhatsApp
WhatsApp has started with the preparation for the implementation of a dark mode on Android. WABetaInfo reports that. The company already started preparations on iOS in October.
The dark mode replaces light colors on the screen with dark colors, making the use of an app, for example in low light, more pleasant.
The dark mode uses gray colors in the current version on Android and iOS. Whether the final night mode also uses these colors is not yet clear.
The use of a night mode with completely black images can save energy on OLED screens, because the pixels do not show a black color, but are ‘off’.
It is not yet clear when WhatsApp will make the dark mode available to users. According to WABetaInfo, quite a bit of time is still being devoted to its development. Presumably the social medium, which is owned by Facebook, first makes the night mode available to a select group of testers.
