EA releases EA Access subscription service for PlayStation 4

EA (Electronic Arts), a major game publisher, announced on Tuesday that it will release its EA Access subscription service on PlayStation 4 gaming consoles.

EA writes that PS4 owners can sign up for a subscription via PlayStation Store from July. The costs are 3.99 euros per month or 24.99 euros per year.

With EA Access, subscribers are given the option to try out full versions of new games for up to ten hours before they decide to purchase a chosen game. Players also get unlimited access to set of EA games such as FIFA 19, Mass Effect Andromeda, Battlefield 1 and Star Wars Battlefront II.

EA has been offering the subscription service for the Xbox One since 2014. A different account is required for the service on PS4. Players who want to play on both consoles must pay twice, according to reports from The Verge.
