Twitter joins the vaccination advocate club

Twitter has taken several measures against the spread of fake news about vaccinations. Official blog of the social network has made some nuances public.

Users looking for information about vaccinations will now see pinned tweets with links to websites with general information. These sites explain how vaccinations work and what the possible risks are.

Twitter’s search engine no longer suggests terms that could lead to fake news and disinformation about vaccinations. The social network has been applying a similar policy to messages about, for example, suicide.

The measures are currently active in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and several Spanish-speaking countries in America.
