Tesla reached 7000 per week vehicle production mark
It is still a teardrop in the total car fleet output
Tesla CEO Elon Musk is optimistic about deliveries of electric cars to customers this quarter. According to Musk, there is “good chance” that the record number of 90,700 deliveries from the last quarter of 2018 will be surpassed in the second quarter.
Musk wrote this to employees in an e-mail. He also reported that the company received more than 50,000 new net orders this quarter and that the daily production of the Tesla Model 3 this week is on average 900 cars, bringing the 7,000 per week target closer.
In recent times, Tesla’s share price has come under considerable pressure due to analysts’ concerns whether the company was able to meet its objectives. The US-Chinese trade tensions also weigh on the Tesla share, which has already fallen by more than 40 percent this year. Thursday’s price rose on Wall Street, after six losses in a row.
