Remake of Final Fantasy VII will be released in March 2020
The remake of the popular role play Final Fantasy VII will be released for PlayStation 4 on March 3 next year. Gamemaker Square Enix announced this during the E3 trade show.
The date was announced by Square Enix director Tetsuya Nomura during a Final Fantasy concert in Los Angeles. A short new trailer for the game has also been released.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake was officially unveiled in 2015. After that, development remained silent for a long time. Nomura says the game was announced too soon afterwards. Later it turned out that the remake does not appear as a single game, but that the story is published in parts. The first part will be released next year, but it is not yet clear when the rest will be published.
Final Fantasy VII was released for the first PlayStation in 1997 and is one of the most popular parts in the Final Fantasy series. It was the first part in the series that was playable in 3D.
Many details about the game are still unknown. The press conference of Square Enix will take place in the night from Monday to Tuesday, and more information will probably be released.
