US will not intervene to keep the value of dollar
The United States will not intervene in the currency markets to influence the value of the dollar. According to Larry Kudlow, White House economic adviser, the US government has “ruled out” such measures.
Kudlow said in that in an interview with news channel CNBC. President Donald Trump’s government has long been concerned that other countries are deliberately weakening their currencies in order to gain a better competitive position.
However, currency experts are not convinced by Kudlow’s statement. Jens Nordvig, founder of Exante Data, stated that he only believes the message after he has heard from Trump himself that the US will not take measures to weaken the value of the dollar.
