Boeing will stop production 737 MAX in January

It is still not known when the planes can be taken back into the air after it was decided earlier this year that the 737 MAX should stay on the ground. The device may no longer fly after two crashes. First, a Lion Air aircraft crashed in Indonesia, killing 189 people. A few months later a 737 MAX from Ethiopian Airlines crashed. All 157 passengers died.

Due to a software error, the nose of the device was pushed down. Boeing is working on an update. The modifications to the aircraft must be approved by all relevant aviation authorities.

The 737 MAX was Boeing’s best-selling aircraft.
