Boeing 777x is going to the maiden flight
The American aircraft manufacturer Boeing is said to be making the first test flight with the 777X this week. Sources reported this to Reuters news agency. Depending on the weather, the test flight will take place on Thursday or Friday at Boeing’s commercial base near Seattle.
The 777X is the newest series in the so-called wide-body 777 family of Boeing. The device is equipped with two motors and suitable for longer distances. The new Boeing has room for at least 406 passengers.
Boeing had previously indicated that the first test flight of the new aircraft was planned early this year and that the first delivery will be in 2021. This does, however, entail some delay. Due to problems with the engines made by General Electric, the earlier deadline for the delivery of the devices from mid-2020 was postponed.
