Donald Trump wants to buy CureVac’s exclusive rights

The German government, in turn, would provide researchers with additional funds to continue their work for Germany. The researchers in question work for the biopharmaceutical company CureVac, which is located in Tübingen (Baden-Württemberg). It is working with the Paul Ehrlich Institute for Vaccines and Biomedical Medicines to produce a vaccine against the coronavirus.

According to the sources, the American president offers the company “a hefty sum” for the exclusive rights for the invention. Trump is doing everything he can to get a vaccine for the United States. But only intended for the Americans,” it says.

Government officials are now negotiating with CureVac, according to the German Sunday newspaper.

“The German government is very interested in the fact that vaccines and active substances against the new coronavirus are also being developed in Germany and Europe,” a spokesman for the Ministry of Health told Welt am Sonntag. “The government is having intensive discussions with the company about this.”
