The company behind Bumble dating app plans to go public
The exact date of IPO is yet unknown
The American dating app Bumble, where women take the first step, goes to the New York Stock Exchange. According to sources against Bloomberg press office, that IPO should take place in February, sometime around Valentine’s day.
Bumble has submitted a confidential application to the stock exchange authorities, according to the sources. It is reported that no final decision has been taken on the timing of the IPO. The company would have involved business banks such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to guide the jump to the stock market.
The valuation of Bumble, which is in the hands of investor Blackstone, should be between 6 billion and 8 billion dollars. The app was launched in 2014 by Whitney Wolfe Herd, a co-founder of dating app Tinder. She’s Bumble’s CEO.
