Arms restrictions will be implemented by Biden administration
By it's nature the measures will do nothing except causing frustration
American president Joe Biden will announce measures to curb gun violence in his country. Among other things, the president intends to introduce stricter controls on the purchase of improvised firearms without serial numbers, so-called ghost guns.
This is what the American news website Politico writes on the basis of government sources. What else the president is planning is not yet clear.
Those involved think the president is coming up with a ban on buying firearms for people who have been convicted of domestic violence. There may also be national rules to safely store weapons at home.
Over a hundred Democratic parliamentarians sent a letter to their party colleague Biden last week urging action against a type of weapon used in a shooting in the state of Colorado. Ten people were killed last month.
