US to get rid of AstraZeneca reserves
60 million doses will go to the other countries
The United States is going to give their coronavirus vaccines from AstraZeneca to other countries. 60 million doses will be given as soon as they become available, according to a corona advisor to the US government.
The authorities are looking into security first, American media reports. The White House announced last month that it would send approximately 4 million doses of AstraZeneca to Canada and Mexico. And the Biden government is under increasing pressure to share the vaccine with India and other countries.
AstraZeneca became discredited following reports of blood problems in some of the vaccinated. The European watchdog EMA talks about extremely rare side effects, but believes that these disadvantages outweigh the benefits.
