Are you leaving campus and want to get a bite before you go home? Only have 15 minutes before a 2 hour class and are desperate for food? Don't have time to make something yourself? Tired of McDonald's or Burger King or the campus cafeteria? I've compiled a list of the best restaurants for a quick bite near every campus. Most of them are relatively cheap and all of them feature quality food.

This is the final installment of the four part series, with this installment devoted to the best restaurants near the Liston Campus in Providence, as well as some great places to eat that aren't near any particular campus, but should be on your way to or from school if you commute from elsewhere in the state

Federal Hill, as a whole

Distance from Campus: approx. 1 ½ miles to the North

What?: One of the reasons why Providence was the last campus in this series was that I just couldn't pick one Federal Hill restaurant, and also because some of those restaurants aren't quick or inexpensive. However, Federal Hill has the best conglomeration of excellent restaurants anywhere in New England. Among the prime choices are Ricotti's at 113 Atwells Street (which features relatively inexpensive and excellent grinders) and Bob and Timmy's Grilled Pizza at 32 Spruce Street (which also features grinders under $8, and their famous pizza and calzones hover between $9 and $14).

The Providence Place Mall Food Court

1 Providence Place, Providence

Distance from Campus: 3 miles (approx. 8 minutes)

What?: Yes, I know there's a Taco Bell in here, and I already mentioned Subway last issue, but there's a lot more to the Providence Place Mall food court than those two establishments. Johnny Rocket's (at the edge of the food court), a retro-styled hamburger joint, seems to have a love-it-or-hate-it reputation among most of my friends, and I'm in the "like it" camp. Aside from regular beef patties, Johnny Rocket's also offers turkey and veggie burgers for students interested in those alternatives. There are also several Chinese and Japanese food operations, and one of only two Popeye's Chicken locations in the whole state.

How Much?: Well, the great thing about a food court is that you can probably find something there for whatever money you have in your wallet, as long as its over $5. The biggest drawback to Providence Place is the parking fee, which needs no explanation.

Dave's Marketplace

multiple locations throughout Rhode Island, check their website for the location nearest your campus or home

What?: Dave's Marketplace is less of a grocery store and of an open market. Aside from the deli, butcher shop and bakery which all feature fresh products, there is also an area of the store that sells pizza by-the-slice, sandwiches and paninis of all sizes, hot dogs, strombolis and much more. There is also a buffet-type set-up at every Dave's that includes several kinds of wings, a poutine-type fries dish, General Tso's Chicken, mozerella sticks and more (it depends on the day of the week)

How much?: You could walk in with about $10 and be able to purchase any of the options I listed above.
