Knight Students call for removal of SG President

Students of the Knight Campus have recently been unhappy with the performance of Student Government President, Pedro Montesino, and his staff. They have recently started a petition to have the President removed. The next student government meeting is scheduled for 4 November.

RIBGHE seeks full time Commissioner

On Tuesday, 1 November, Director of Administration, Richard Licht, recommended that the board seek a full time commissioner.

Along with this, he also mentioned that the state remove the cap on higher-ed jobs as well as elevating the board to a policy making level for preschool, elementary and secondary education.

It was also suggested that the Rhode Island Higher Education Assistance Authority be combined with the Office of Higher Education.

SVO to rededicate memorial

Armed Forces Recognition Day will be held on Friday, 4 November, from 2pm-4:30pm. The Student Veterans Organization will be rededicating a monument originally dedicated by the 1976 Rhode Island Junior College veterans group.

There will also be a keynote speaker and workshop/information tables. Refreshments will be served afterwards. For further information, contact ccrivets@gmail.com
