China and US progress towards trade deal

Negotiations between China and the United States on a trade deal are progressing steadily. According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, there are certainly still a number of issues that need to be negotiated, but there is still progress.

Delegates from the economic superpowers have been trying for years to come to an agreement. A Chinese delegation was a guest at the White House last week. The week before, Beijing was the scene of negotiations. Where and how to speak in the coming period was not reported by the Chinese. The Americans said that at least Beijing will be called this week.

In Washington last week, among other things, there was talk about the export of technology and the protection of intellectual property. The things that are still on the table are all “hard nuts to crack”, it was reported. According to the US an agreement should be possible in four to six weeks.
