Greeks will not help Iranian tanker with oil supply to Syria
Greece surrenders under US threats
The Iranian oil tanker Adrian Darya 1, who was taken off the chain in Gibraltar last week, is not allowed to moor in Greece.
The tanker, previously called the Grace 1, was stopped a month and a half ago by the authorities of Gibraltar. The ship is said to be on its way to Syria with a load of oil worth millions of dollars, which is in violation of international sanctions.
“We do not want to facilitate this oil trade to Syria,” said the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Moreover, according to him there is no harbor in all of Greece where a supertanker like the Adrian Darya 1 can go.
The ship is supposed to be en route to the Greek port of Kalamata, where it is to arrive on Monday. Yesterday, the Americans warned Greece and other countries in the Mediterranean that the oil tanker would not offer port facilities.
