US Steel companies are raising prices

Large steel companies in the United States are raising their selling prices again. Those are Nucor, ArcelorMittal and U.S. Steel. It is the third time in about a month that the prices are raised.

Earlier this year, steel prices in the US continued to fall, while demand was under pressure from weaker end markets, including the US auto industry. But given the good outlook for the US economy, steel companies would have confidence that buyers could handle the higher prices.
