Spotify lets friends listen to music together at the same time
Truly we are living in the age of wonders
Spotify Premium subscribers will be able to share control of a playlist on mobile phones starting Monday. This ‘Group Sessions’ feature can now be tested in beta on Spotify.
Each user can create a special code and share it with others. Anyone who has the code can pause, skip, and otherwise adjust the shared audio stream.
It seems to be an audio variant on apps such as Netflix Party, with which people can watch a Netflix series together. Users and researchers first spotted the feature in May last year.
There is currently no limit to the number of people who can participate in a Group Session.
