Coca-Cola to lay off 4000 jobs
Soda maker Coca-Cola offers employees in North America a voluntary departure scheme. The company is facing changes in its soft drink branch and a job reduction is part of the strategy.
There is room in the arrangement for at least 4,000 employees. First of all, we are talking about workers in the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. Arrangements will also be made in other countries. The company charges $ 350 million to $ 550 million to be lost in severance payments. Coca-Cola doesn’t rule out dismissal either.
The soft drink maker has adapted its strategy to the growing demand for healthier drinks. The company is also the subject of discussion in the environmental discussion on disposable bottles. It poses challenges to Coca-Cola and fellow industry members.
