Biden comes up with restrictions to defeat gun violence

President Joe Biden takes the first step to tackle gun violence. Among other things, he wants a ban on assault weapons for private individuals, such as a Kalashnikovs. Biden announced the measures today, as pressure increases following a series of deadly shootings in the United States.

The president called the increasing gun violence an ‘epidemic that must be stopped’ and an’ international disgrace.’  ‘We are absolutely determined to change things, ‘ Biden said during a speech to the White House.

The measures are a first step against mass shootings, bloodshed and suicide.

“Today we are taking measures to curb not only the arms crisis, but what is actually a public health crisis”, says Biden.
