Didi Chuxing IPO prospects marred by state investigation

Chinese regulators have launched a competition investigation into taxi service Didi Chuxing. This was reported by Reuters news agency on Thursday morning based on own sources.

The Chinese regulator State Administration for Market Regulation is investigating whether Didi acted unlawfully to harm smaller rivals, the sources say. It is also examined whether the price structure used by Didi for its taxi services is sufficiently transparent.

Didi did not want to respond to Reuters and the Chinese regulator did not respond to questions from the news agency.
