Reward for vaccination planned by US Goverment

Joe Biden wants all Americans who plan their vaccination to get a reward of 100 dollars. The rewards should be paid by states and local governments of the $ 350 billion earmarked for dealing with the coronavirus.

It would be an “additional incentive” to accelerate the rate of vaccination. Biden calls on American States and municipalities to provide the rewards as soon as possible.

It was recently announced that the city of New York is offering citizens a $ 100 reward starting Friday to persuade them to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The American metropolis also hopes to increase the percentage of people who have been vaccinated, now that the number of new infections is rising again. The money for the first shot they get at vaccination centers run by the city.

Biden also wants all citizens in the public service to show that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If they do not, they should wear a mask and get tested regularly. The rule also applies to the staff of the national (federal) government, which is the largest employer in the country with over four million employees.

Biden also commissioned a study into a vaccination obligation at the Ministry of Defense. According to the president, the Department of Veterans Affairs made all the wise and important decision to demand a full vaccination from its healthcare providers and personnel.

In the United States, about seven out of ten adults have had a first dose. Six out of ten adults have already been fully vaccinated, according to data from The New York Times.

Vaccinating teenagers is also fast in the country. 66.9 percent of teenagers have had a first shot and almost 60 percent are already fully protected.
