New York Stock Exchanges started down Wednesday. The attention of investors on Wall Street includes figures on inflation in the United States. Furthermore, meal deliverer Dodash was a notable riser after the news of a billion-dollar takeover of Finnish branch counterpart Wolt.

The Dow-Jones index recorded a minus of 0.1 percent at 36,277 points shortly after opening. The broad S & P 500 dropped 0.4 percent to 4664 points and the Nasdaq technology gauge lost 0.8 percent to 15,764 points.

Inflation in the US rose to 6.2 percent year-on-year in October, which is stronger than economists expected. It is the highest inflation rate since 1990. In addition, it was reported that weekly benefit claims in the US have decreased slightly. Because of Veterans Day on Thursday, those numbers were published on Wednesday.
